Job Description

The position of Engagement Manager reports to the General Manager.

Status: Full Time, Exempt

Location: This position is based in BRAVER TECHNOLOGY's Massachusetts location.

Job Purpose and Overview: This role will be responsible for prospecting and development of new business as well as working to understand business needs and opportunities within current client accounts and maintaining existing client relationships.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, a two or four year degree in a business or technology related field or proven sales experience (5 years +) in corporate business sales or technical position preferred or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a personal sales plan that will achieve established sales and profit goals.
  2. Meet and exceed established sales and profit goals.
  3. Establish network relationships within the industry and community.
  4. Keep management informed of industry trends and identify opportunities.
  5. Maintenance of CRM database for lead and prospect tracking.
  6. Employ consultative sales techniques demonstrating an understanding of the needs of our current and prospective clients.
  7. Identify and engage new clients for BRAVER TECHNOLOGY.
  8. Manage and maintain assigned accounts by developing relationships with key decision makers.
  9. Maintain and track client data on current and prospective clients and prepare reports as necessary.
  10. Respond to requests for proposals from clients and prospective clients in a timely manner.
  11. Provide exceptional sales support to BRAVER TECHNOLOGY clients by coordinating with all internal departments and vendors to provide timely quotes and resolution of client issues.
  12. Provide exceptional follow up to BRAVER TECHNOLOGY clients on services delivered and identify future opportunities through strategic guidance.
  13. Develop strong working relationships and regularly meet with clients to ensure technology and training needs are met.
  14. Regularly increase knowledge and understanding of trends that impact BRAVER TECHNOLOGY business, including competitor data.
  15. Meet monthly appointment and revenue goals and manage a 90 day+ pipeline for weekly review.
  16. Coordinate with Service Delivery, Project Management, and finance teams to manage the logistics of client projects.
  17. Participate in marketing programs and development of marketing materials designed to build client base.
  18. Perform other tasks that relate to acquiring and servicing sales to clients as assigned by management.
  19. Attend Networking Events and other events to find new business opportunities.

Requirements & Work Conditions:

  1. Proven prior experience with closing new business and finding new business.
  2. Possess a track record of managing customer commitment, negotiation, and closing of the sales process.
  3. Must have the ability to organize multiple tasks and priorities.
  4. Must possess time management skills and be goal and deadline oriented.
  5. Must possess excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Must demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and growth.
  7. Must have the ability to think critically and strategically.
  8. Must be able to work within budgets.
  9. Ability to make decisions in matters of significance.
  10. Must be a team player.
  11. An ability to work in a professional office and client environments.
  12. Work time may include some evenings and weekends as well as overnight travel.

Physical: Vision: Correctable vision. Hearing: Full hearing capability including the dissemination of tones. The ability to lift to 30 lbs. An ability to stand and/or sit for up to 14 hours/day.

Language: Ability to effectively speak, read, and write English.

Working Conditions: An ability to work in a professional office environment and LAN/WAN room environment. Work time may include some evenings. Ability to work from home.

Transportation: Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from BRAVER TECHNOLOGY's offices and client locations as required.

Travel: Must have the ability to fly on commercial airlines when necessary.

Dress: Follow company dress policy (see policy manual).

Authority: The Engagement Manager's financial authority is as authorized by management. The Engagement Manager has the authority to negotiate deals with clients as necessary and within reason, as authorized by BRAVER TECHNOLOGY's Executive Leadership Team.

Standards of Performance: The Engagement Manager will be performing in a satisfactory manner when the following have occurred:

  1. Sales and profit goals (quota) are achieved.
  2. Development and execution of the sales plan.
  3. Maintains excellent client relationships.
  4. Maintains excellent relationships with peers and subordinates.
  5. Operates within established budget guidelines.
  6. Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  7. Maintains progress toward career goals and objectives.
