Your tasks

• You will work intensively on what holds our bank together at its core: Our core banking system, where you ensure that it runs as it should.
• You will not only operate our interfaces to our Banking to Go app, internet banking and back office systems, but also act as part of their lifecycle management and modernize them with us.
• Permanent availability is a reality in our systems and we will train you intensively and thoroughly so that you can ensure stability with us on call even in critical moments.
• You will also pave the way for the future, bring our applications up to date, constantly improve their scalability and find clever solutions to automate our processes and tools around them.
• You analyze and evaluate all changes to our peripherals, both internally and externally, carefully and expertly and then make well-founded release recommendations.
• And if something does go wrong, we'll know immediately, because you develop modern and sophisticated solutions for logging, monitoring and alerting that keep us up to date at all times.
• Of course, you also have an eye for IT security and governance, because you live DevOps and continuous improvement and make us a little more efficient, stable and secure every day.

Your profile

• Degree or training in the IT sector with relevant professional experience
• Practical experience in system administration (Linux / Unix, basic knowledge of Windows) including monitoring and logging to identify and resolve system bottlenecks
• Familiarity with network basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls), storage management (NAS, SAN, cloud storage such as S3) and cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP, hybrid cloud solutions)
• Expertise in IT security practices, including encryption, patch management and SIEM, as well as site reliability engineering and backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins, as well as scripting (Shell, Python, Perl)
• Analytical, independent way of working paired with problem-solving skills and independent time management and task prioritization
• Communication skills in dealing with stakeholders and colleagues, stress resistance, enjoy working in a team and motivation to commit to the role in the long term
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English
