Job overviewThe post-holder is responsible for the successful implementation of a portfolio of diverse projects that may include multimillion-pound major engineering-related projects. The post-holder will act as the GSTT client and deliver first-class projects, forming the necessary links between all involved parties. The post-holder will ensure effective and efficient programme management from inception to completion, meeting or exceeding briefs, budget control and delivery of quality products. The post may involve leading an internal team supported by a multi-disciplinary external team whose primary responsibility is to manage the overall process of project delivery ensuring compliance with governance processes, ensuring appropriate arrangements are in place with teams to achieve safety, time, cost and quality parameters.
The postholder will:
- Provide high-quality Project Management of engineering and backlog maintenance projects.
- Lead and manage a project delivery team comprising internal and external professionals.
- Deliver projects to time, budget and delivering outcomes as articulated in governance, being accountable for managing the project programme delivery processes through all RIBA stages.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary external team and/or Main Contractor with responsibility to manage the overall process of project delivery ensuring compliance with governance processes, legal, statutory and building regulation requirements.
- Responsible for providing a high level of Engineering and technical advisory service to GSTT stakeholders.
- Contribute and co-ordinate business cases, including strategic outline cases (SOC), outline business cases (OBC), and full business cases (FBC).
- Pro-active at concept Health and Safety considerations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice.
- Lead key stakeholder engagement and integrate service delivery to ensure excellent customer service, meeting agreed targets and objectives.
- Drive a zero-tolerance safety culture across the team and with all suppliers to ensure a safe, healthy and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors to any GSTT site.
- Lead team and self by example, modelling the Trust values and behaviours, ensuring that equality, diversity and inclusion objectives of the trust are championed, supported and implemented.

Person specification Education/Qualifications Experience- Significant successful experience in construction project delivery for procuring and managing projects in live, physically congested, high public footfall urban environments delivering projects on time, to budget and meeting the requirements as set out in governance.
- Strong knowledge and significant experience of contract management and procurement, cost management, budgeting and supply chain management.
