Job Description

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the leading independent funder of research into heart and circulatory diseases and the largest charity retailer in the UK. Our lifesaving work is advanced by investment in medical research - we have over £410 million of BHF-funded research underway, with an aspiration to invest £1 billion in research over the next ten years.

Engaging with our customers more effectively to drive more support and income is crucial to our strategic fundraising efforts, enabling us to fund more and more life-saving research.

To help us deliver this strategic ambition, we're recruiting an Enterprise Portfolio Delivery Officer to play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of a complex portfolio of work.

In this role you'll assist the Enterprise Portfolio Delivery Manager and ensure that BHF can deliver on both its long-term strategic objectives and short-term operational goals.

You'll work closely with programme/project managers and senior leaders to ensure projects and programmes are set up for success, executed effectively, and deliver the expected outputs, outcomes, and benefits.

Working arrangements

Please note this is an 18-month fixed term contract. This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you

With a proven track record of supporting the monitoring and delivery of projects and programmes, you'll have previous experience in an administrative or coordination role within large-scale organisations.

You'll also have the following skills and experience:
Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and foster collaboration.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Proficient analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and support making data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in stakeholder management.

About us

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. By funding research across six decades, we've helped keep millions of hearts beating and millions of families together. We're investing in ground-breaking research that will get us closer than ever to a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.

We value and respect every individual's unique contribution, celebrate diversity, and make inclusion part of what we do every day.

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy, Igniting Change, along with our internal EDI group, Kaleidoscope, and a growing number of employee network groups (our Affinity Groups), help us create an environment where all our colleagues and volunteers can succeed.

Interview process

First stage interviews will be a short one-way video interview, successful candidates will then be invited to attend an interview via MS Teams, which will include a short task.
