Job Description

We can change the world for good, one charge at a time.

We are an electric vehicle charging company on a mission to change the world for good. We want to make charging inclusive, convenient, and reliable, just a small part of our journey to become the UK's favourite charging network.

We deliver on-street community EV charging, working with local authorities to support residents unable to charge their vehicles at home. We also install future-proof EV charging infrastructure at workplaces, retail destinations, car parks, commercial real estate, and residential developers.

We're working to better connect people to places, councils to communities, and businesses to a brighter future.

About you

You are a detail-oriented professional with remarkable communication skills and a passion for ESG. With experience in regulatory reporting and stakeholder management, you excel in translating highly detailed ESG data into actionable plans. Your business acumen enables you to navigate fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects with agility.

Where this role fits in

This is a pivotal role, combining ESG acumen with hands-on delivery to ensure our ESG commitments continue to evolve and thrive. As a standalone subject matter specialist, you will be confident with your skills and knowledge and drive the business forward with our ESG initiatives as we grow at pace.

This position requires deep expertise in ESG reporting standards and the ability to consolidate and align historical emissions data.

You will have the opportunity to work in one of the fastest-growing and most exciting industries, playing a pivotal role in shaping the deployment and management of our charging infrastructure to help ensure a successful transition to EVs in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance ESG reporting, policies, and frameworks to drive improved ESG performance.
  • Lead the collection, consolidation, and alignment of historical carbon emissions data.
  • Work closely with business units to implement robust, audit-proof reporting processes and internal controls. A key part of this would be making sure all ESG accreditations and certificates are achieved each year such as ISO14001.
  • Leads on social value reporting - working in partnership with the Connected Kerb team, our third-party suppliers and our clients.
  • Manage multiple internal and external ESG information requests ensuring quality of deliverables in line with Company standards and ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Point of contact for internal enquiries regarding annual ESG performance data and reporting.
  • Promote local social value initiatives to support and build local relationships with local organisations that the Company can engage with.
  • Analyse data to measure the impact of ESG initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG metrics into business processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on ESG performance, collaborating internally to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Engage with stakeholders, such as investors, employees, clients, and communities, to communicate the organisation's sustainability efforts and foster meaningful relationships.
  • Stay updated on ESG regulations and standards to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting frameworks.
  • Introduce and manage a KPI tracking system for energy and carbon emission tracking.
  • Set achievable goals to align with relevant benchmarks, with the aim to achieve a clear pathway to reach Net Zero.
Key competencies/behaviours
  • Passionate about minimising environmental impact and promoting sustainability.
  • A balanced approach to assessing risks and devising action plans.
  • Qualities to drive organisational change, collaboration with diverse teams, and inspire a sustainability-focused culture.
  • Adaptability and resilience to navigate complex and evolving challenges.
  • Ethical and principled approach to decision-making and a passion for driving positive social and environmental change.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise.
Qualifications, Skills/Experience
  • Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management - ideally within technology or engineering industries (industry experience is not essential).
  • Good knowledge of ESG regulations, environmental laws, and health and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting and climate risk assessments.
  • Ability to network effectively with external organisations and build relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Relevant degree or certifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field will be a great addition.
  • Previous experience supporting ISO 14001 audit processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify sustainability risks, develop actionable strategies, and measure impact.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data and trends.
  • Self-starter, strong drive and result oriented.
Our Offer
  • A hybrid and flexible work environment.
  • Private health insurance
