We currently have a role for an experienced facilities management professional to join our South London based team overseeing the facilities management of a variety of NHS facilities as the Estates Operations Manager. Based out of the Parsons Green Health Centre this person will be responsible for managing the team that deliver the day to day facilities management and working closely with the clients to ensure that the service that we deliver is first class from end to end.

This person will need to have a facilities management background ideally within the NHS but if not experience within the public sector would be advantageous, it would also be good for this person to have an understanding of managing facilities that are leased rather than owned as well as the nuances that go along with this. It would be good if this person has managed a team before however this is not essential. This role is rewarding and varied and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a real contribution to the NHS and the services that these sites provide.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overall responsibility and management of the functions and performance of the members of staff that make up the Capita FM Team in your region.
  • Managing FM provision with support from third party services providers.
  • Responsible for the effective communication with key stakeholders on site.
  • Contribute to the P&L management and reporting by the Group FM Director.
  • Delivering support in the Capita FM arena for both Projects and BAU.
  • Staff Development.
  • Ensuring the operational delivery of QSM and SLA requirements.
  • Good knowledge of current regulations, legislation and compliance requirements applicable to property and all national and industry standards regarding Health and Safety (H&S) and respective risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Key decision-making rights on Facilities issues arising within their geographical responsibility areas.

What we're looking for:

  • A proven track record in facilities management is essential.
  • Ideally experience of working within the NHS or within the public sector.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to engage and work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
