Job overviewWe are looking for experienced nurses to join our OUTSTANDING acute care team at Homerton. We were rated outstanding by CQC in 2020 and are proud of the standards we maintain across our services. Our acute care team consists of a strong nursing and clinical ethos around patient-centered care, safety, and teamwork. The Acute Care Unit is the admission unit for the trust. You will be placed on a supportive and structured education and training pathway, centered around reflective supervision, clinical skills, and leadership.
We also welcome experienced nurses from a community or nursing home background that are wishing to return to acute care.
Please note - this vacancy is not suitable for Overseas Registered Nurses required to take the OSCE exam.
Main duties of the jobYou will be required to practice within a team of nursing staff and act as a 'named nurse'. Your duties will include assessing, planning, and evaluating patient needs.

Person specification Knowledge- Understanding of confidentiality issues.
- Experience of working within a hospital setting (this can be gained through student placement).
- The ability to effectively function as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

- The ability to communicate effectively and prioritise own workload.
- Registered Nurse (or about to qualify).
