The Façade Site Manager is responsible for the efficient and safe installation of the façade to a good level of quality in conjunction with the Façade package manager and senior management team, through the co-ordination of all trades on the project, safe methods, quality and program requirements. Other key responsibilities will include:

  1. Provide a link between design, building trades and sub-contracts to ensure project objectives are met.
  2. Managing the safe delivery of the project including reviewing/updating of method statements and risk assessments.
  3. Responsible for monitoring quality control on site and for managing the on-site activities of the quality plan.
  4. Assist Project Management throughout the value management process to maximise the financial benefit of the installation.
  5. Develop the subcontractor façade installation team to work with Multiplex to drive safety & quality.
  6. Support the construction teams in all aspects of façade engineering including installation methodology.
  7. Report and monitor any changes from approved drawings & engineering design undertaken by cladding contractor through site activities.
  8. Assist Quantity Surveyors, Commercial/Procurement Managers to measure installed work.
  9. Keeping of records for programme, plant, and all site activities.
  10. Maintain awareness of contractual obligations of both the head contract and sub-contract.
  11. Act as a conduit of communicating relevant information as appropriate to site supervisors, construction workers and sub-contractors.
  12. Skills and knowledge of the façade construction industry.
  13. Have knowledge and experience of managing various cladding systems and curtain walling (panels and stick systems).
  14. Previous experience managing the environment, health & safety (EHS) requirements of a project similar in size and scale to OBR.
  15. Demonstrate personal leadership, integrity and creativity on technical cutting-edge projects.
  16. EHS training to demonstrate competency to provide expert support and guidance to the project team in order to take responsibility for the key aspects of this post.
