Job overview: Term time plus 3 weeks (possible reduction of non-term time weeks is negotiable).
St. Gregory's Catholic High School seeks to appoint a 'Family Support and Pastoral Outreach Coordinator' to join our highly reputable and successful school community.
This is a unique opportunity to take on an important role which will enable you to have a varied input into both the pastoral and personal development areas of our school. You will take an active role in the personal development of children.
St Gregory's values the strong relationships we have with our families and the support we can offer them.
You will work in partnership with excellent staff including our designated person for Children in Need and Early Help offer within school, who has lead responsibility to report concerns to the DSL and External Agencies.
A key aspect of the role will be to support pupils off site, ensuring that a robust and effective programme is in place, including monitoring of the impact.
You will be part of a cohesive and highly reputable pastoral team and alongside dedicated staff, parents, and pupils who work together to ensure our motto of 'one family inspired to learn' is lived every day.
It is desirable but not essential that you have had a positive pastoral experience record in schools. You will be highly organised and self-motivated and you will be someone that has a true pastoral heart that inspires young people.
You will exemplify positivity and have an energetic, can-do approach to your professional life.
We were recently labelled as 'the happiest school in Warrington' by the Sunday Times. Following Ofsted's inspection report in July 2024, the school was graded as 'Good' in every area, and our school is graded as 'Outstanding' in our Section 48 Inspection of the Catholic Life provision of the school in February 2019.
We encourage all applicants to read both reports and to review our school website.
The opening paragraph from the Ofsted report reads: "There is a strong sense of community across the school which reflects the school vision. One pupil said, "we are cared about as individuals, but because everyone cares, that makes us all one."
We are now relishing the challenge of continuing our successful journey towards providing an outstanding whole school provision.
To get to know our school community, we welcome you to visit the school to talk about the role, and we also encourage you to review our school website.
Key dates:This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.
Online checks of shortlisted candidates may be obtained, which forms part of our Safer Recruitment procedures and KCSIE Guidance.
