About the team and/or client

This role sits within the GroupM UK FP&A team reporting into the FP&A Manager across Nexus (ADTV/Programmatic Solutions). The role will work closely with the rest of the FP&A team as well as the Nexus business.

The Role Objective

Working as a key member of the GroupM Finance team, the Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in producing insightful and relevant reporting for Senior Management to support key decision making. Through development of financial models and deep understanding of client activity within the Nexus solutions, the Finance Analyst should provide analysis on business trends and forecast expectations.

You will be assisting with Forecasting and Budgeting processes, providing support to stakeholders in the business and contributing to the overall enhancement of the FP&A function. The role will also support on key financial objectives that promote driving efficiencies within the team but also within the business. To be successful in this role, engagement with various parts of the business is required, often at different levels of seniority, as well as taking ownership of multiple regular tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Streamlining forecast and budget processes with collaboration of the Finance team
  2. Collecting and analysing relevant data from within the company to provide insight on business performance
  3. Detailed understanding of the Nexus business with a focus on client analysis, variances and client profitability
  4. Become an expert in Adaptive for forecasting and review, and ensure systems align to the final reported amounts
  5. Working closely with multiple departments within the business, both finance and non-finance, to develop financial models from the data available, e.g. pipeline tracking
  6. Supporting FP&A Manager with forecasting deliverables and ensuring timely submission.
  7. Action any queries during Forecasting/Budgeting processes
  8. Lead BFC input for required submissions per reporting timetable
  9. Liaise with EMEA/Global teams to resolve reporting queries
  10. Co-ordinate commentary submission to Group FP&A as required
  11. Continuously reviewing current processes and making improvements to allow better control or improved efficiencies
  12. Supporting with a number of ad-hoc projects
Skills and Behaviours
  1. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  2. Organised with strong attention to detail to ensure both accuracy and reliability
  3. Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  4. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to work with large volumes of data
  5. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications.
  6. Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  7. Good interpersonal skills to work with different management levels
  8. Must show a proactive approach to problem solving and take initiative
  9. Highly numerate / mathematical skills
  10. Excellent time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise

You must:

  • Experience in a related Finance role
  • Be progressing with a chartered accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
