Finance Assistant - London


Join Our Client as a Finance Assistant!


Location: Aldgate, London (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)


Hours: 9-6 (some flex)


Salary: £32-35k


Contract: FTC 6-12 months - with the view to go permanent


Are you ready to make a difference in the finance world? Our client, a leading organisation in the alternative investment industry, is on the lookout for a talented Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team.


As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team and contributing to the organisation's growth. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting with month-end closure processes.
  • Preparing monthly management flash reports and quarterly board packs.
  • Handling customer invoicing and leading debtor recovery efforts.
  • Processing supplier payments and supporting procurement processes.
  • Preparing regulatory reports and regular updates for the parent company.
  • Engaging in forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis to identify savings opportunities.
  • Managing payroll and expenses using Pento and Pleo.
  • Driving process improvements and collaborating across teams.

We're looking for someone with:


  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping and financial statements.
  • Knowledge of common accounting practices and payroll processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Xero preferred).
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential data.
  • Experience in cross-collaboration with various teams.
