Finance Business Partner - Corporate Functions

Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the Corporate Functions at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

Where you fit in:

As our Finance Business Partner you will:

• Show expertise in day-to-day financial running of the Corporate Functions, including developing strategies to deliver more value per £ incurred.
• Make decisions that optimise outcomes balancing regulatory, affordability, and shareholder needs.
• Have proven experience in leading and influencing functional colleagues, including developing the finance function in line with Finance Modernisation principles.
• Be accountable for continuous and controlled improvement of processes.
• Support the delivery of commitments through active participation and leadership whilst striving for the correct outcomes and improvement.
• Look beyond immediate needs to ensure a comprehensive business and AMP view, actively seeking innovative internal and external ways of working.
• Ensure compliance and control by supporting the reliability and presentation of the financial statements to the Group Financial Controller.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• At least 2 years of experience partnering with complex organizations or working within complex business models.
• Confidence to challenge existing ways of working to deliver better outcomes.
• Ability to keep up to date with financial and non-financial data to develop insights that support service delivery outcomes.
• Proven ability to manage priorities effectively, demonstrating success in high-pressure environments.

• Skills in persuading and motivating others to achieve desired outcomes.
• Experience of navigating and making decisions in uncertain situations.
