Job Brief

Accurate financial information is paramount in ensuring Moneybox operates efficiently and profitably. Our Corporate Reporting and Financial Operations team is key in delivering this. As a Finance Manager, you're on the accounting front line, battling to deliver efficient financial operations and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You'll be a financial reporting pro, with excellent knowledge of financial accounting (such as IFRS), and you'll also be a great team player, helping support and develop the wider team.

What You'll Do
  • You'll be a core member of the Corporate Reporting and Financial Operations team, working directly with the VP Finance. This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Assisting with the day-to-day financial operations, supporting the team with AP, AR, payroll, etc.
  • Financial reporting including management accounts, executive reporting, board reporting, and quarterly investor reporting.
  • Playing a key role in the production of the statutory accounts and delivering the audit.
  • Supporting with tax reporting; Corporate, R&D, and VAT.
  • Enhancing the controls framework and maintaining strong governance.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc transformation projects, including systems and process improvements.

Experience and Skills
  • Chartered accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience, preference for experience across both practice and industry.
  • Experience in the financial services or fintech is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, knows what it takes to deliver a large project across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Natural communicator, presents well with the gravitas to influence.
