Location: Remote Working with Travel Across UK Sites Expected

Compensation: £68,000 + Benefits

The role
As a Finance Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity within the business with a focus on increased controls around budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Day-to-day, you'll liaise with the Land Sector Finance Business Service (FBS) team, SAP FBS, Operations and Senior Management teams. This role is a link between Finance and the contract. Cost drivers from the production operations need to be properly understood and communicated in the business.

  • Production of timely and technically accurate contract and site accounts, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans including variance analysis
  • Production of timely and technically accurate contract and site-based budget, forecast and strategic plan reports and presentations for the Business Facing Finance Director including liaison with contract and site stakeholders
  • Business Partner with the operational teams holding them to account with their forecasts and budgets.
  • Support the operational teams with analysis and insight
  • Providing and managing any contractual financial information e.g. any finance information to be provided as part of contractual reporting to customer such as quarterly reports, gain share submissions

Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.

This role is full time 37 hours per week and requires regular travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a weekly/monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Finance Manager:

  • Ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and concise financial messages for review
  • Up to date knowledge of Financial Accounting framework and that of the Regulating Bodies
  • Excellent communication skills particularly communication at senior levels and with the ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-Finance managers and staff.
  • Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed

Qualifications for the Finance Manager:

  • Recognised relevant professional qualification - Proven or qualification by experience

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
