About the role:

The role reports to the Junior Financial Controller and is responsible for day-to-day accounting, month end processes and reporting requirements as we continue to grow. Ideally, we are looking for a fully qualified accountant with 3 years PQE to undertake the duties outlined below.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

1. Assistance in the completion of monthly management accounts including ownership of some key areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet
2. Processing month end journals including COS, accruals, leases and overheads
3. Ownership of key reconciliations including cash, intangibles and VAT
4. Providing detailed commentary, variance analysis and insight to key stakeholders
5. Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT return including partial exemption calculation
6. Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts and audit completion
7. Partner with the business to understand new product offerings and assess accounting and finance implications
8. Line management of the Financial Accountant
9. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
10. Support the Junior Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

1. Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant with ideally 3 years PQE
2. Have strong technical accounting and analytical skills
3. Netsuite experience is desirable but not essential
4. Understanding of SQL/Looker is desirable but not essential
5. Ability to check for accuracy with high attention to detail
6. Ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to key deadlines in a fast-paced environment
7. Great team player working within the Finance function
8. Ability to quickly build relationships
9. Willingness to learn new skills and be part of an exciting journey ahead
