Finance Manager, EMEA Data Center Finance team

EMEA DC Construction Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to support data center Capex investment decision and partnership with Construction, Cost Controls and Energy team to drive best in class business decisions to support our customers.

Key job responsibilities

1. Serve as part of the regional leadership team responsible for delivering high quality and robust decisions with favorable business outcomes.
2. Become subject matter expert for data center construction including cost drivers, pertinent technology, vendors, customers served, and regional nuances.
3. Establish annual/monthly performance targets, analyze variances to plan, and communicate key messages to senior leadership.
4. Identify and lead cost savings initiatives.
5. Data center capital expenditure approvals.
6. Support forecasting and month end activities across the team and specific regions.
7. Identify opportunities to improve on the tools and processes to support finance team and our business partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
