Finance (System) manager

ERP Implementation (Initial Focus)

1. Lead the financial setup and configuration of Rootstock ERP on the Salesforce platform, ensuring it aligns with our accounting and reporting requirements.
2. Collaborate with finance, IT, and operations teams to define and map financial processes within the ERP system, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
3. Support data migration, cleansing, and validation activities to ensure accurate and reliable financial data in the ERP.
4. Conduct testing and troubleshoot issues during deployment, providing detailed feedback to resolve any configuration or integration challenges.
5. Provide training and support to finance and relevant teams, ensuring smooth adoption and understanding of ERP functionality.

Ongoing Finance and Accounting Responsibilities (Post-ERP Deployment)

1. Manage daily financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end and year-end closings, and financial statement preparation.
2. Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures, leveraging ERP capabilities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
3. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights based on ERP data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
4. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into business performance.
5. Serve as the primary finance point of contact for ERP-related questions, enhancements, and updates as the business scales.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified Accountant: Fully qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in finance and accounting, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.

This role is initially a 6 month contract with a possibility to extend within an exciting renewable energy business!
