Michael Page are partnering with a well-regarded Challenger Bank to assist them in hiring a Financial Accountant for their London based team.

Location: Offices in Moorgate area

Working Conditions: Hybrid working

Salary: £60-65k + attractive benefits package

Job Description

Key Tasks for this Financial Accountant role in the Financial Services sector in London:

• Producing Monthly management reporting
• Supporting statutory reporting obligations including month end financials, the annual report and tax calculations
• Maintain tight financial control in line with the approved financial control framework
• Assist with the provision of working documents for the external auditor
• Implementation of control enhancements and improvements
• Responsible for updating relevant accounting policies
• Assisting with tax issues including VAT, Corporation Tax, R&D tax claims and general tax issues
• Identify and manage risks thoroughly and always within risk appetite

The Successful Applicant

The Ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant role in the Financial Services sector in London:

• ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Ability to create new Management Information that delivers insight to the business
• Experience in an internal or external audit environment
