Financial Accounting Associate - Accounts Receivable, London, 12 months FTC

Are you looking to step into a finance role that offers both engaging tasks and a sense of accomplishment? As a Financial Accounting Associate, you'll play a crucial role in our core billing service. You'll be responsible for ensuring our customers are billed accurately and promptly, contributing to our overall financial benefit. Accountabilities

  • Participates in the development of the team's policies, procedures, and processes through providing input and feedback
  • Run and manage the accounts receivable BAU invoicing utilising the financial systems
  • Run and manage the revenue modules in the finance system
  • Ensure revenues are accurately recorded, reconciled and accurate in the finance systems. Perform timely reconciliations of system data to customer data
  • Ensure knowledge and understanding of new products and services is maintained
  • Ensure that invoices raised adhere to company procedures and whilst functioning with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure accounting transactions are appropriately applied and maintained in line with governing standards across all entities for accounts receivable
  • Ensure detailed analytical review is conducted for debtor balances and collections
  • Update and manage aged debtors reporting
  • Implementation of robust reconciliation processes within accounts receivable
  • Prepare and produce debtor account reconciliation
  • Maintain good working relations with both internal and external clients
  • Ensure implementation of processes is carried out in line with business needs, directorate needs, requirements of both internal and external audit teams for group entities
  • Ensure debtors are setup and maintained from a legal and financial perspective (financial accounting and operational finance) within Infor Sun and SAP Concur for account receivable
  • Ensure statutory requirements are met including with regards to VAT corporation tax
  • Produce and prepare of the organisations bad debt provisions and write off schedules
  • Input into key performance metrics and other measures as required

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Understands accounts receivable
  • Proven ability in efficiently handling disagreements and achieving mutually agreeable outcomes
  • Proficient in bookkeeping practices, including double-entry accounting, demonstrated by considerable practical experience
  • Demonstrable experience in Finance Systems
  • Demonstrated process improvements
  • Implementation of controls and governance
  • Technical financial knowledge / accounting standards application for accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Excels at expeditious skill uptake, is self-directed, proficient in time orchestration, and actively engages in team synergy.
  • Capable of working effectively without supervision and shows a meticulous approach to detail-oriented tasks.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation.
