Financial Controller

What You'll Do:

• Oversee Financial Operations: Manage all aspects of the financial close process, including accurate and timely reporting to meet both internal and external requirements.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, keeping up-to-date with relevant changes.
• Team Leadership: Guide and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in reporting, accounting systems, and internal controls to streamline workflows.
• Financial Analysis & Insight: Provide key insights on financial performance to senior leadership, including variance analysis and risk assessments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted financial advisor to other departments, supporting cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Experience: Proven track record in financial control, ideally within large, complex organisations.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial systems and accounting software, with excellent Excel skills.
• Leadership Ability: Experience managing and developing teams, with a collaborative and motivating approach.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data, forecast outcomes, and present insights in a clear, concise manner.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and a commitment to maintaining rigorous standards.
