The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, reporting, and controls of the firm. This role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, optimize financial performance, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, particularly within investment management, private equity, hedge funds, or asset management firms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SEC regulations, etc.).
  3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  4. Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  5. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements to support investment activities.
  6. Collaborate with investment teams to assess financial performance and risk exposure.
  7. Oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting in coordination with external advisors.
  8. Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and stakeholders on financial matters.
  9. Support due diligence processes for potential investments, acquisitions, and fundraising activities.
  10. Implement and enhance financial systems and reporting tools to improve efficiency and transparency.
  11. Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership to support business growth and investment decisions.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  2. Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in investment management, private equity, hedge funds, or asset management.
  3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and investment accounting principles.
  4. Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and risk assessment.
  5. Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
