We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Financial Engineer.

Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA), Global Finance is a global team and Centre of Excellence in Finance responsible for shaping the future of financial analytics and engineering, driving innovation, and delivering unparalleled insights that empower strategic decision-making within Global Finance.

In this role, you will:

  • The ADA team supports Global Finance by developing sophisticated, high-quality models, analytics capabilities, and innovative analytics, providing seamless development through to deployment pipelines, and implementing best practices in Model Governance and ongoing monitoring. The team is also driving the business architecture and helping IT with the technical architecture.
  • With an impressive, varied book of work across ADA you will support the primary objective to navigate this initiative.
  • You will collaborate closely with our modelling teams to understand in detail our models, support modelling in delivering these models within our software engineering best practice standards, ensure our models are efficient and scalable, implement best practice continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure we have stable production deployments, support the testing and BAU support as required throughout model deliveries.
  • If you enjoy software engineering with no barriers to develop, the team and culture will genuinely assist you with driving your continuing professional development within this subject matter.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and deploying software applications (e.g. analytics libraries).
  • Thorough understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Experience with Python or Java or C++ is essential.
  • Experience in DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
  • Experience with large data processing technologies (e.g. Polars).
  • Collaborative, engaging, credible and methodical; being able to bring the coding and narrative to life (e.g., being able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders with technical solutions).
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (all levels of seniority, businesses, and geographies).

The base location for this role will be London and with a hybrid working pattern.
