Job Description

Our client is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to play a key role in driving strategic decision-making and financial insight. This position involves managing financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to support business growth and transformation. The successful candidate will lead a team, providing mentorship and development opportunities, while working closely with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights.

Job Duties:

  1. Build and lead the Financial Planning and Analysis team, providing mentorship and development.
  2. Manage the preparation of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
  3. Deliver accurate and insightful financial analysis to drive business performance.
  4. Support monthly financial reporting, analysing variances against budgets.
  5. Partner with senior leadership to present financial insights and recommendations.
  6. Optimise financial processes, leveraging ERP systems for automation and efficiency.
  7. Ensure integrity and consistency in financial data management.
  8. Interpret and analyse financial information to drive business behaviour and strategy.

Job Requirements:

  1. ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
  2. Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis within a commercial environment.
  3. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in enterprise systems.
  4. Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  5. Ability to bring discipline, pace, and rigour to a finance function.
  6. Commercial acumen, with an understanding of accounting implications and business objectives.
  7. Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with attention to detail.
  8. Experience in managing staff within a finance function and coaching team members.
  9. Confident, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
