About the role:

As a Financial Services Data Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-level data solutions. Working closely with stakeholders across financial services, you will leverage your expertise to build scalable architectures, optimise data pipelines, and ensure data enables strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implementation of robust, scalable enterprise data architectures.
2. Develop and optimise modern data warehousing systems and data models (e.g., dimensional, data vault).
3. Build and maintain efficient ETL processes and scalable data pipelines.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data requirements into innovative technical solutions.
5. Ensure data quality, governance, and security, aligning with industry and regulatory standards.
6. Act as a mentor to junior engineers, sharing expertise and driving best practices.

What we are looking for:

1. Previous Financial Services Consultancy experience.
2. Experience in data architecture and engineering, with a proven ability to deliver enterprise-level solutions.
3. A background in Enterprise Data Architecture and other data-related topics, such as Data Warehousing, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Modelling and Analytics.
4. Proficiency in SQL and Python.
5. It would be great to have experience with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks or tools like DBT, Fivetran, Dataiku, or Alteryx.
6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
8. Interest or experience in AI/ML and real-world application to data engineering solutions.
9. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
