Pay Rate: £31,500 to £33,800 (Dependent on Experience)

Shift patterns: Monday to Thursday, 06:15am to 3:15pm, Friday 06:15am to 11:15am

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor / FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
• Supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames while maintaining standards of excellence.
• Track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum levels.
• Supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve Operational Standards and defined outcomes for your responsibility area/shift approach.
• Develop your TDM according to your Roles & Responsibilities and align it to the TDM of your team. Validate it with your immediate leader.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices.
• Previous experience in the preparation and distribution of volume orders.
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise, and train direct reports.

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
