Position: Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer
Pay rate: £50.00 p/h inside IR35.
location: Bristol, UK
Role Type: 06 Month contract with extension

IO Associates seeks a Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer for the Filton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic team shaping the future of aviation and space systems.
Responsibilities
- Led the team through the detailed design phase, successfully passing the Critical Design Review (CDR).
- Developed and implemented an efficient build plan.
- Led Verification and Validation (V&V) of the test rig, ensuring a smooth entry into service.
- Coordinated technical activities, ensuring proper prioritization of key topics.
- Provided hands-on support to the team, resolving technical challenges effectively.
Skills:
- Experience working in a test laboratory environment.
- Experience operating in hazardous environments.
- Proficient in systems testing techniques.
- Expertise in large, high-pressure fluid mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of hydro-mechanical instrumentation installations.
- Familiarity with data logging and acquisition systems.
