Job Description

FMEA Facilitator - Peterborough - 12 month contract - Hybrid

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and consistency in FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) development across multiple engine platforms. You will work on projects ranging from full engine New Product Introduction (NPI) programs to individual component design changes.

As an FMEA Facilitator, you will guide engineers through the entire Proactive Reliability process, from risk identification to assigning mitigation activities and creating Design Validation Plans (DVPs). You will work at both system and component levels, while also reporting on FMEA progress and health metrics to project leads and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate FMEA sessions - schedule, chair, and guide discussions.
  • Work on both system and component-level FMEAs to ensure thorough risk analysis.
  • Provide support and training on FMEA processes and Plato e1ns FMEA software.
  • Develop and communicate FMEA health metrics to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Enhance FMEA health metric processes and tools to drive improvements.
  • Support the creation of optimized component and engine validation plans.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements within the Proactive Reliability framework.

Required Skills & Experience:

Candidates should have gained the following through previous roles:

  • Experience in DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) facilitation and creation.
  • Knowledge of validation planning and test requirements within an engineering environment.
  • Systems Engineering approach to product development.
  • Understanding of Proactive Reliability methodologies and product quality principles.
Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Engine Design, Development, or Simulation.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and Continuous Process Improvement.
  • Familiarity with construction machinery or generator set applications.
  • Experience working with industrial diesel engines.

  • Location - Peterborough
  • Hybrid working pattern. 3 days on-site
  • Start date - ASAP
  • 12 month contract, with a high possibility of extension.

    PAYE £25.90
    RU Holiday Pay £29.03
    Umbrella £33.39
