Define and scale our sales function from the ground up.
We're looking for our Founding Account Executive who is passionate about establishing our sales foundation from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to define sales at Granola! You'll partner directly with leadership to establish our go-to-market approach while making an immediate impact on our business metrics. As an integral part of our founding team, you'll be pivotal in scaling Granola to its next 100x growth milestone.
In this role, you'll first own the critical path from inbound interest to signed deals. You'll be at the forefront of our growth, interacting directly with customers to understand their needs while building scalable sales processes. As we rapidly grow, this role will likely involve and focus on converting free customers to paid and starting our outbound motion.
In this role, you will:- Own the entire sales cycle (we're currently 100% inbound !) - from initial conversation to closed deal - with help from Shre (our Business Lead).
- Navigate security reviews, procurement processes, and vendor management systems.
- Build and optimize our sales playbook and process as we learn what works.
- Convert our highest-usage free customers to paid accounts.
- Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure our product meets customer needs.
- Demonstrated experience selling SaaS products in product-led growth companies (minimum 3+ years).
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing complex sales cycles (3-9 months).
- Highly autonomous and able to prioritize very well.
- Enthusiasm for building something new rather than following an established playbook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that build trust quickly.
- Comfort with velocity sales and procurement.
- Strong understanding of the value of brand.
- Are first and foremost a builder who gets excited about creating something from scratch.
- Are excited to work in-person from our office in London (five days a week in-person).
- Thrive in a startup environment where you can wear multiple hats and define your role.
- Have a genuine curiosity about how customers use our product and what would make them pay.
- Take ownership of challenges without waiting for perfect information or direction.
- Value working with people who are kind, ambitious and pragmatic.

LocationWe do our best work in person, and so our team spends time together five days per week in our new, bright and spacious office at Old Street. We are happy to offer relocation assistance to candidates who'll be moving to London to join us.
