Freelance Creative Content Director

Start: Immediate

Rate: To £450 p/d (Inside IR35)

Location: Hybrid (3 days in Central London office, 2 remote)

Overview:

An exciting opportunity for a senior-level creative content leader to drive the development and launch of a high-impact SME content programme for a major telecommunications brand. This role is ideal for an experienced editorial content lead with a flair for social storytelling and a sharp creative instinct.

The Brief:

The goal? To win the hearts and minds of small business owners across the UK. This feed-ready content programme aims to engage time-poor SME founders by helping them upskill digitally through authentic, relatable stories and fast, actionable solutions to everyday business challenges.

You'll Be Responsible For:

Leading the creation of compelling, social-first content tailored for B2B audiences.

Developing scalable editorial franchise ideas that:

  • Collaborate with relevant creator talent
  • Leverage infotainment and reality-style formats
  • Perform across social and longer-form digital content
  • Collaborating with strategists, designers, writers, and motion teams to bring video concepts to life.
  • Translating complex topics into digestible, value-driven narratives.
  • Bridging below-the-line content with above-the-line campaign potential.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has a proven track record in B2B content, especially social-first campaigns.
  • Understands what makes a business story resonate with a professional audience.
  • Is hands-on from concept through execution - a true maker and creative leader.
  • Can navigate fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Is confident presenting and defending ideas in client-facing settings.
  • Works well under budget or time constraints, offering smart, pragmatic solutions.

Must-Haves:

  • Fluent in Google Slides and able to craft polished, client-ready presentations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines.
  • A humble, ego-free approach with a focus on impact and effectiveness.
