Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract Building Services Design Engineer required on mechanical fit out projects.

Your new company
This consultancy has recently set up a London office due to client demands. Hays has recently placed the new London Director, and we are now looking to bring in an experienced Freelance Engineer to help complete projects.
Your new role
You will need to be an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer with full HVAC package knowledge. These projects are mostly commercial new builds and fit out with a number of projects at CAT B stage currently. This will be full detailing work, so ideally, some experience of contractor lead design.
What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge and experience of delivering projects and overseeing detailing stages of design. You will be working closely with the Main Contractor and Sub Contractors on site to deliver a comprehensive design package.
What you'll get in return
This will be a long-term project with a lot of flexible working. You will need to attend site, but the majority of the design work can be completed at home. This is a long-term contract likely to run for a minimum 6 months and likely much longer. The hourly rate is circa £50ph and can be either PAYE, Umbrella or Limited company.
