Freelance SQL Engineer

For a global customer in Walloon Brabant, I am searching for a freelance SQL Engineer to support the development and maintenance of critical data systems used across several internal departments.

This role involves designing and optimizing SQL queries, supporting data integration efforts, and ensuring the availability of high-quality data for analytics, reporting, and compliance purposes. You will be working closely with business analysts, data engineers, and scientific stakeholders in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain complex SQL scripts, procedures, and data models.
• Support data integration and migration activities across internal platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and compliance in line with GxP and GDPR requirements.
• Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to deliver reliable datasets for advanced analytics and reporting.
• Participate in design workshops, peer reviews, and documentation efforts.
• Proactively troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries.

Profile

• Proven experience as an SQL Engineer or Data Engineer
• Proven experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
• Experience working in cross-functional or agile teams
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, GxP)
