The Team

As a key member of the legal team, you'll take on a pivotal role in supporting and shaping the legal function during this 12-month maternity cover. Working closely with teams across Sales, Engineering, and Marketing, you'll help drive critical initiatives, develop and refine processes, and provide strategic legal guidance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This role is well-suited to a commercially minded legal professional who can confidently navigate complex legal matters while enabling business success.

What you'll be doing:
  • Managing in-house legal counsel providing strategic guidance and mentorship.

  • Proactively monitoring legislative and regulatory changes and ensuring the business remains compliant.

  • Working cross-functionality with a variety of stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor to business partners including senior executives.

  • Managing relationships with external law firms and maintaining responsibility for managing external legal spend.

What experience you need to be successful:
  • Are a qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience.

  • Have previous in-house experience (we're particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience in a start-up environment).

  • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills and can communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-legal teams.

  • Are comfortable working in fast paced environments and thrive in a degree of ambiguity.

  • Are a proactive, hands-on problem solver who can quickly identify legal risks and provide actionable solutions.
