Full Stack Engineer

About Admiral Business
Admiral Business sit within the Admiral Group, and are the experts in business insurance, offering SME insurance for tradespeople, professionals, and couriers. They build products and services that put their customers' first, combining agility with reliability to deliver innovative products and superior customer experience to the underserved SME market across the UK.
Please note: This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work on site in Cardiff 2 days per week.
Main Responsibilities- Develop Frontend Applications using Next.js, React and Sanity.io
- Develop Backend applications using NodeJS in a serverless architecture
- Maintain a high level of Unit Test Coverage
- Adhere to coding standards
- Participate in Communities of practice
- Play an active role in agile ceremonies such as retrospectives, sprint planning and stand-ups
- Optimise database performance, and ensure data integrity across different database types
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work independently, proactively and as part of a wider team
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain both relational and NoSQL databases
- Development using JavaScript libraries and frameworks (Next.js and React preferred)
- Development of serverless applications (Node.js preferred)
- Development of REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Experience working in the Insurance sector or other highly regulated sectors
