Functional Architect

Nexeo is currently looking for a Functional Architect (Digital Components) for one of the leading banks in Belgium.

Role Overview

As a Functional Architect, you will join a team of experienced architects and be responsible for designing secure and resilient digital components, focusing on customer channels, flexible authentication, middleware simplification, document management, and cloud migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design multichannel components and flexible authentication solutions.
• Simplify middleware and manage document management/archiving systems.
• Lead the migration of on-premise applications to private cloud solutions.
• Collaborate on various digital transformation initiatives within a secure IT environment.
• Actively contribute to the architecture team and work with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: At least 10 years in IT and security, with at least 5 years as an architect.
• Technical: Experience with solution architecture, formal architecture frameworks, and tools.
• Business: Banking or insurance experience is preferred; experience in large/multinational organizations is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Autonomy, excellent stakeholder networking, agile work experience, and strong English communication skills (written and spoken).

Education: IT background is essential.

Language Requirements:

• Fluent in English (written & spoken).
• Good working proficiency in Dutch or French.

Work Environment

• Full-time role, 50% on-premise, 50% homeworking (Belgium).
• No travel required.
