Part time (22.5 hours per week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Furniture Projects Team for 12-months. We are dedicated to providing access to affordable furniture for households in need. We are committed to excellent customer service and making a positive impact in our community.

As a Furniture Projects Officer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating, delivering, and monitoring our furniture offer, including furnished tenancies and recycling services. You will work closely with colleagues, external agencies, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of furniture, maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional customer service.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

1. Assessing eligibility for affordable furniture packages and arrange appropriate offers for households in need.
2. Developing effective communication links across the Furniture Team and with SHG colleagues.
3. Clearly communicating with customers to ensure they understand the procedures and requirements of a furnished tenancy.
4. Maintaining efficient and accurate records for transparency and accountability.
5. Supporting in preparing and monitoring all income and expenditure related to furnished tenancies.
6. Conducting property visits and audits, recording and monitoring the furnished tenancy process.
7. Promoting the furniture offer with internal and external partners, attending meetings and events as required.
8. Managing challenging situations regarding furnished tenancy packages and respond to safeguarding issues.

We're looking for someone with:

1. Commitment, passion, and enthusiasm for excellent customer service.
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
4. Experience in working with a diverse customer base and handling challenging situations.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle if required.
