Essential Functions:
- Guest-Centric Culture:
- Drive a culture of putting guests first, grounded in data-driven insights.
- Ensure a robust marketing plan across channels, segmenting and targeting customers for optimal reach.
- Role model guest-facing behaviours and act as a Brand Ambassador internally and externally.
- Business Strategy and Growth:
- Drive volume strategy, ensuring sustained competitive advantage and optimizing revenue.
- Oversee P&L Management, channel strategy, and sustainable growth in attraction RPC.
- Deliver EBITDA growth, 5-year plans, and cost control strategies.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure attractions operate at maximum efficiency with required staffing.
- Drive operational teams to exceed guest expectations.
- Implement HR and talent management processes, achieving diversity and inclusion targets.
- Safety and Wellbeing:
- Uphold Health and Safety excellence, including business continuity and risk management.
- Cascade relevant information, ensuring a culture of openness and safety.
- Innovation and Partnerships:
- Drive innovation, pre-empt opportunities, and adapt at pace.
- Create and sustain external partnerships and networks, contributing to the Merlin Group's strategic agenda.
Business & Functional Experience:
- Proven experience in successfully managing complex operational businesses.
- P&L management responsibility, demonstrating agility and responsiveness to trading.
- Experience developing partnerships with non-profit organisations, local businesses, and authorities.
Market & Geography Experience:
- Understanding motivators for different markets and effective routes to entice visitors.
People & Teams Experience:
- Managing leaders of teams outside own area of expertise.
- Building high-performance customer-centric teams.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team and develop a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or marketing (desirable).
- Flexible working hours, including weekends, with a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and internationally.
