Job Title: Global Head of Medical Engagements & Digital Omnichannel

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join as the Global Head of Medical Engagements & Digital Omnichannel. This is a new role, expected to be a key driver in transitioning and focusing on Shaping, implementing, and driving the medical vision, and governance around innovative stakeholder engagement operational models and platforms.

The role reports to Head of Global Medical Excellence and Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identifying innovative and effective medical stakeholder engagement / medical education / scientific communication models/platforms in close collaboration with GBUs, key countries/regions and the relevant business partners (i.e., R&D, commercial, IT, legal, compliance)
  • Building efficient operational global framework to support the development and the execution of medical engagements and education activities, including the integration of innovative digital technologies and systems.
  • Interfacing closely with GBU (Global Business Units), key countries/regions, to understand medical needs and expectations.
  • Aligning with partners from legal, regulatory and compliance to ensure proper adherence to relevant regulations/guidelines.
  • Driving consistent communication regarding vision and projects to key stakeholders and leading change management activities including trainings
  • Evolving medical engagement by designing efficient global operational models and integrating digital technologies and systems (e.g., engagement platform, content management (NLP, AI, cloud technology etc.), Medical CRM configuration, HCP Portal etc.)
  • Defining architectural integration of new platforms into the Galderma medical stakeholder model together with IT business partners and aligned with our digital Veeva footprint.
  • Ensuring the appropriate integration of medical Omnichannel into Galderma Omnichannel concept and strategy
  • Ensuring the appropriate integration and design of medical requirements into the Galderma future customer 360 digital architecture (e.g., Customer Analytics platform, CRM, end-to-end congress/events management, and system etc.)
  • Clarifying business rational, requirements, value and expected impact of proposed new engagement models/platforms to facilitate decision making at the relevant Galderma governance level and forum.
  • Developing appropriate roll out plans and supporting/monitoring the implementation of new engagement models/platforms (including change management, training, and competency building)
  • Developing appropriate governance structures and guidelines together with Legal and Compliance around all external stakeholder engagement models
  • Developing and monitoring appropriate impact metrics and KPIs to continuously measure success and impact as per defined performance expectations.


Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong educational background with PhD or MD is desirable.
  • 10+ years experience in medical affairs functions with Very good understanding of current medical engagement and communication models and their individual objectives at global and ideally also at local levels.
  • Expertise in rolling out digital solutions related to stakeholder engagement/communication.
  • Good understanding of medical affairs activities at global and local scope.
  • Proven hands-on approach in entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing senior stakeholders across functional areas in global organisation as well as key external stakeholders (HCPs, HCOs including societies).
  • Track record in successfully operating in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to transform environments through use of innovative solutions and technologies.
  • Good and clear communicator and negotiator across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English
