The Global Social Media Specialist will support Intrepid Travel's storytelling, channel management, and audience growth on social media. This includes executing the global social media strategy and managing the day-to-day rollout of content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms. The role involves developing the social content calendar, briefing creative requests to the design team, editing vertical videos, contributing to monthly reporting, and helping achieve social reach and video view targets.

As part of the Global Public Relations & Communications team, this position directly contributes to the department's goal of strengthening Intrepid Travel's public image and brand sentiment as the best travel company for the world. The specialist's key priorities include developing the social content calendar for all Intrepid Travel brand accounts, briefing creative work, writing captions, and executing posts from concept to publishing. Additionally, they will track key social KPIs, assist with reporting, ensure social media visuals and voice align with core values, and support content production, including working with freelancers on content shoots.

This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate on a hybrid basis out of our office in Toronto, Ontario, or London, UK.

Some of the experience you'll bring with you may include:

• 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, storytelling, and vertical video.
• A strong storyteller and copywriter who knows how to create powerful and engaging social assets.
• Proven track record of creating engaging, high-performing content across different platforms.
• Foundational knowledge of social media channels and the role they play in marketing and customer service.
• Strong project management skills with experience in briefing designers and other creatives.
• An understanding of and belief in Intrepid's core values and style of travel.
• Experience with video editing tools like CapCut, Premiere Rush, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut, along with knowledge of social media scheduling and listening tools like Hootsuite, is a bonus.
• Experience with paid media and post boosting would be a valuable asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
