Role DescriptionKantar's Worldpanel division is searching for a dynamic, collaborative and experienced Global Survey Solution Director to help develop our Worldpanel survey offering. This product is on the trajectory of becoming a global leader, using our core advantage of verified purchasing to decode the attitudes behind observed behaviors. We are on the cusp of a new era for surveys, aiming to significantly enhance both our offerings and our company's skills and knowledge. The location for this role is globally flexible.
Role's missionThe Global Survey Solution Director will join the global Product team to help drive significant advancement in this solution. This role combines technical expertise in designing and delivering surveys, an understanding of the end-to-end product development process, and commercial acumen in building products that are marketable and impactful for clients. We are very much defining and creating our product offering and therefore strong experience in new thinking in survey design and methodology is essential. You will need strong analytical abilities to convert business needs into outputs that fully use our USP of verified buyers and our connection to trended purchase data.
This role focuses on building products, processes and tools that enhance our overall survey offer and create specific solutions that are packaged and sold to clients globally. It presents a significant opportunity to shape the future of PanelVoice, ensuring we deliver maximum value across the business.
The ideal candidates should have a strong interest in product management, as well as the insights used to continually innovate, with attention to detail concerning all aspects of the products being developed. This role requires innovation and proactivity to generate impactful ideas and the resilience to promote these within an established business.
To deliver something new to the market you will need to be comfortable partnering with our Technology and Operations teams and is enthusiastic about expanding our capabilities by using AI and developing new capabilities.
Key outcomes- Product Ownership: Oversee the product roadmap and all aspects of product management. Develop market-leading products that play to our USPs. Bring new thinking to our survey practice, ensuring we have the best approaches to get to the insights we want and keep our panelists engaged.
- Product Definition and Strategy: Define product requirements, business needs, positioning, pricing, and functionality for both existing and new solutions. Leverage regional partners to gather local market intelligence and set regional priorities.
- Joint developments with our US business incorporating Gen AI capabilities that work across multiple geographies and market sizes.
- Develop innovation in new spaces to help us expand our survey capabilities across a wider range of use cases including more self-serve and AI powered offers.
- Design survey led products which maximise the benefits of connecting to real purchase data and meet critical client needs.
- Partner with marketing to develop internal and external launch materials on templated products.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across Ops, Tech and Product to implement the product roadmap. Effective communication and alignment across partners are critical for success.
- 10+ years' client facing commercial survey role / product management experience, preferably in quantitative research.
- Recent experience with CPG clients and leading strategic research from the vendor side (especially in brand assessment or U&A).
- Product leadership experience where you have delivered a successful outcome through working across different departments such as Analytics, Technology and Operations.
- Knowledge of panel data, and the ability to combine multiple data sources to produce seamless results.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to communicate new ideas and overcome objections.
- Able to influence in a matrix environment across different cultures.
- Inquisitive, analytical with critical thinking, and demonstrate genuine passion for consumer behaviour.
- Enjoys actively looking for new and more efficient ways of delivering a product.
- Is proactive, optimistic, and willing to get involved to achieve the team's goals and objectives as they evolve.
- Previous experience working within a multicultural business environment and developing solid working relationships with colleagues from different countries and cultures.
