Golang Software Engineer Cambridge

You will join the significant R&D teams in Cambridge that create and improve the products behind the company's rapid growth. Our software engineers work across a wide variety of projects and with a diverse toolset.

This is a hybrid role, and the expectation would be to work a minimum of 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.

What will I be doing:

As an engineer, your role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas to further improve Darktrace's services and offerings on existing products,
2. Building and maintaining greenfield services,
3. Researching and implementing features that align with the Cloud Security product feature set,
4. Investigating and furthering our unique methodology in defending against unknown cyber-attacks,
5. Innovation is of paramount importance and as such, creativity in approach is encouraged as much as traditional project-based development.

What experience do I need:

We welcome applications from engineers who have a solution-focused mindset combined with an analytical approach and problem-solving skills. During the interview process you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to program using Golang/Python and will show an understanding of writing code in a production environment. Additionally, it's likely that you'll be:

1. Comfortable working autonomously and taking independent decisions as well as having the ability to work cooperatively within a team,
2. Experience working with microservice architectures and building monitoring/observability metrics,
3. Understanding of cloud native landscapes (AWS or Azure or GCP),
4. Knowledgeable of containerized environments would be beneficial (Docker or Kubernetes).
