Role: Degree Apprenticeship - Construction Site Manager
Location: Gateshead

Your new roleAbout the role

You'll learn about the job, on the job, whilst we support you through further studies, so you'll gain qualifications as well as work experience and skills. As a Degree Apprentice Construction Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Producing short-term weekly programmes for your section and subordinates' section in line with overall contract programme requirements.
- Ensuring accurate daily records (diaries, labour and material returns) are kept.
- Liaising with team members on a daily basis.
- Encouraging and developing others to succeed in their roles.
- Producing record sheets/change notes or similar to assist Site Manager/Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor.
- Ensuring materials, plant, and equipment are ordered and controlled in line with the project-specific prelims and bills of quantities.
- Monitoring the requirements of the Group's Health and Safety procedures and maintaining safety records for all work activities under their control.
- Correct interpretation of drawing information to enable setting out to be done accurately.
What you'll need:
- A Levels/Btec or HNC/HND equivalent in a relevant subject, minimum of 120 UCAS points.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.
- Dedication and ambition to develop within the role.
- Computer literate and numerate.
Who we're looking for:
As a Degree Apprentice Construction Site Manager, we understand this may be one of your first roles. We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in the construction industry; some level of experience would be great, but if you can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and a methodical approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills, this could be the role for you. You'll also need to demonstrate your dedication and ambition to develop within the role, which we can support you with.
