Your assignments:

We have 3 positions available (location Amsterdam) where you, as a Philips GDP Finance Trainee, will be able to gain exposure across Treasury Management, Financial Planning & Analysis/Manufacturing and Integrated Supply Chain Domains.

Department Corporate Treasury Middle Office (1 year per department)
Your key areas of responsibility include:

  • Operate, manage and develop the treasury operations, including the relevant processes and IT systems/tools.
  • Execution of Treasury Operations activities covering all Treasury operational areas.
  • Subject matter expert role for Treasury products, services and processes.
  • Serve internal customers as part of center of expertise in all Treasury operational areas.
  • Advise the Head of Treasury Middle Office on treasury policy and directives.
  • Ensure a solid, well-designed and operating control framework in compliance with SOX/internal control standards.
  • Development, improvement and implementation of Philips Treasury related business processes, often in cooperation with colleagues from neighboring disciplines.
  • Continuous process improvement of Treasury related processes.
  • Establish and maintain bank relationships relevant for the scope of activities, manage and oversee related bank documentation, testing and after care.
  • Coordinate the project implementation in close cooperation with the business.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
  • Resolve operational escalations when process issues arise.
  • Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

Department Finance Integrated Supply Chain (1 year per department)

Your key areas of responsibility include:

  • Supporting on analysis of early payments and DPO to ensure smooth progress of cash programs for Indirect Procurement.
  • Variance analysis of Indirect Procurement Productivity and participating in MPRs.
  • Supporting with audit of Indirect Procurement funnel.
  • Supporting on month end activities on cash and Productivity.

Department Financial Planning & Analysis Manufacturing (1 year per department)

Your key areas of responsibility include:

  • Help to improve financial performance reporting and planning/budgets processes for Philips manufacturing sites, including process accountability and setting guidelines.
  • Support Month-end process including the Management performance review deck per Business and for full Philips in Integrated Supply Chain scope.
  • Support and later on drive forecasting process for full Integrated Supply Chain scope for all Businesses, including Monthly Performance review deck preparations.

As a GDP trainee you will receive a 2.5 years, full time employment contract with excellent labour conditions.

You're the right fit if:

  • Recently graduated Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent and available per 1st September 2025 (latest 1st October 2025).
  • Max 1 year of work experience straight after your graduation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, a customer-first attitude, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager and ambitious.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking.
  • International experience would be a benefit.
  • Business fluency in English.

Recruitment process

If you are interested in joining, please apply online latest 16th of May, by uploading your CV and/or motivation letter.

  • Within 2 weeks after your application, you will be informed whether you passed the pre-selection round and if yes you will be invited to perform a gamified test and video interview.
  • You will be informed whether you belong to the best performers and if yes you will be invited for the final assessment center, which will take place in the Amsterdam HQ Office second week of June ( physical presence is required) . During this event, you will work on several challenging exercises together with similar minded graduates. This is the final step in the selection process. In the same week, we will inform you of the outcome.
  • Start date will be between 1st September and 1st October latest.
