About the Role

At Broxtowe Borough Council, we are passionate about the Environment and have made a commitment to be carbon neutral by 2027. This role will play a key part in achieving our target.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Environment Team and lead on the frontline operational management of the Council's Parks, Green Spaces, trees, and cemeteries services.

The role is primarily based at our Kimberley Depot, although you will be expected to attend meetings at other Council sites. You will also be part of the Council's emergency call-out rota.

Responsibilities

We're looking for an individual who has experience in:

• Managing grounds maintenance, arboriculture, burial, and small construction works.
• The proactive management of site health and safety.
• Producing tenders and contract management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would:

• Be passionate about the environment.
• Have appropriate technical qualifications in the Grounds Maintenance and Arboricultural field.
• Have the creativity, drive, and passion to meet the challenges of the role.
• Be highly organised and able to work under pressure.
• Be able to motivate others.
• Be forward-thinking, flexible, and innovative.
