About Our Client

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing, maintaining up-to-date payroll records, and implementing best practices to streamline payroll systems. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll regulations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead a small team or coordinate with external payroll providers as needed.

Job Description

As a Payroll manager you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee all aspects of the payroll function for the organisation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries.
  • Coordinate with HR department to ensure correct employee data.
  • Manage and prepare reports for upper management, finance department and auditors.
  • Lead, guide and manage the payroll team to provide accurate, timely and professional service.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Payroll Manager should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
