If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Financial Reporting team at The Crown Estate as a Group Reporting Manager!
About the Role:
As a key member of our Financial Reporting team, you will play a pivotal role in preparing the group financial statements and managing the preparation of subsidiary and managed joint venture financial statements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Be a key contributor to the preparation of the group financial statements.
- Audit Support: Be a key point of contact during the group audit process and support the preparation of audit papers on technical issues.
- Balance Sheet Management: Prepare and review accurate balance sheet reports and provide insightful analyses.
- Ledger Clean-Up: Oversee the clean-up and simplification of ledgers, including JV consolidation entries and capital reallocation of accounts.
- Project Management: Support and deliver a range of projects, driving change within the team and progressing automation initiatives to enhance control and efficiency.
- Technical Advice: Provide technical advice to the business and prepare elements of Audit Committee papers.
- Cross-Training: Ensure adequate cross-training within the team to provide cover during staff absences.
- Ad-Hoc Activities: Handle other ad-hoc activities and projects, including governmental returns such as ONS and FOI requests.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Experience: Proven experience working within a group function of a listed PLC (or equivalent) or a seasoned professional from practice with demonstrable experience working with listed clients.
- Leadership: Experience leading teams and interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Change Management: Experience managing change, including automation and process simplification.
- Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of IFRS and experience using an ERP system (preferred).
- Property Experience: Desirable but not essential.
