Hays - IT Infrastructure / Migrations Engineer

Hays Luxembourg is seeking an IT Infrastructure - Migrations Engineer to join our client's team.

This role will support a major data center move and a comprehensive tech refresh of our client's core IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building new IT infrastructure assets and services in the new data centre, including network, Storage, hypervisor, and backup systems
• Support the go-live of new applications based on client's processes
• Aid in the migration and tech refresh of infrastructure applications, such as Active Directory FileServer, sFTP, and IBM Workload Scheduler

Profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure operations and projects
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Unix servers
• Proficiency in VMware
• Experience with data centre setup and operations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly
• Independent and reliable working style
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in German and French is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an open-minded approach to sharing information and transferring knowledge to team members
