Job Summary

A brand new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Management division. The role of Head of Current Business Management will design and implement the transformation of forecasting, reporting and analysis of the Current Business for all of Apogee's sales divisions. Developing a strong suite of data led reports, analysis and business process to enable the business to have sustained visibility of the state of the business in the short and medium term.

  • Ownership of Hardware Forecast Reporting
    Deliver hardware forecast reports with relevant hand-off to FP&A.
  • Business Management Dashboard
    Maintain and improve the Business Management Dashboard.
  • Sales Forecast Alignment Meetings
    Lead Sales Forecast alignment meetings for MPS/MITS/ODS with relevant hand-off to FP&A.
  • Monthly Sales Forecast Meetings
    Own monthly Sales Forecast meetings with relevant hand-off to FP&A.
  • MPS Pipeline Management
    Work with Business Insights & Analytics team to capture, maintain, and report on the MPS Pipeline in Private and Public Sectors, including analysis of opportunities, wins, losses, and relevant insights to Sales Leadership.
  • ODS Forecast and Analysis
    Work with Finance to produce segment, customer, and product mix reporting, analysis, and forecast for ODS.
  • MITS Forecast
    Manage and report on the MITS Forecast.
  • RR to Cash Forecasting
    Forecast and manage revenue recognition to cash flow.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Leasedesk Forecasting
    Forecast commission values in line with budget.
  • Accuracy Reporting
    Monitor and report on forecasting accuracy.
  • New Product Offerings Development
    Be the voice of current business management in the development of new product offerings, including MITS 2.0, XaaS, and ODS.
  • Challenge the Status Quo
    Provide actionable insights into current business performance.
Experience and Skills Required Essential Experience and Skills
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) - we may consider part qualified
  • Business and Financial Planning & Analysis Experience
    • Proven track record in forecasting, reporting, and analysis within a service-led business.
  • Commercial Acumen
    • Ability to translate financial data into actionable business strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in creating and maintaining data-led reporting tools.
  • Leadership and Stakeholder Management
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at senior levels.
  • Change Management
    • Experience driving business process improvements and transformation initiatives.
  • Strategic Thinking
    • Proactive in anticipating business needs and challenging the status quo.
Desirable Experience and Skills
  • Experience in a Service-Led Business
    • Experience in any service-led business is desirable but not essential.
  • Technical Proficiency
    • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and financial forecasting software.
  • Communication Skills
    • Ability to clearly convey complex data to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
