Head of Enterprise Risk Management & Transversal Projects F/H

1. POSITION SUMMARY
This position, reporting to the Chief Risk & Technical officer, is responsible for the following missions:
- Lead AXA Partners central control functions governance, including Audit Risk & Compliance committee, liaising and securing coherence with regional and local governances, and CLP governance.
- Secure AXA Group Standards implementation and certification for both Risk Management function and the rest of AXA Partners' organization.
- Lead/coordinate any transversal projects, particularly those related to regulatory requirements.
2. DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
- Work closely with AXA Partners Risk Management functions (Internal Control, Operational risk management, technical risk management).
- Work on CLP and Assistance business units.
- Collaborate with others in the AXA Partners' control function departments (General Secretary and Audit).
- Work effectively with EXCOM members and business leaders in AXA Partners.
- Collaborate closely with AXA Group Risk Management and AXA France for the CLP part.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the AXA Partners risk governance at AXA Partners central level.
Central ARCC, coordination/congruence with regional ARCCs and Operational Risk Committee. This includes:
- Yearly taxonomy.
- Agenda definition.
- Securing quality and effectiveness of supporting documentation.
- Driving committee.
- Minutes.
- Follow up of agreements.
APDRC (AP Deal Referral Committee): In charge of the Committee coordination, ensuring timely management of topics between Underwriting, Risk Management, and Compliance. Main activities include:
- Writing minutes.
- Setting up and monitoring decisions.
- Follow up of next steps committed.
- Driving a standardized approach for deals escalation within Assistance and between Assistance & CLP.
Other adhoc and less adhoc additional meetings.
2) Group Standards
- Annual Certification Campaign & deficiencies remediation plan follow up.
- Coordination with Group stakeholders on Group Standards owned by AXA Partners Risk Management.
- Lead on Group standards transversal coordination and consolidation between Assistance & CLP.
- Deep dive on statements and indicators definition to ensure proper implementation by regulated entities.
3) AXA Partners transversal topic or project
POG/Conduct/IDD risk topics: subject matter expert on POG and Conduct topics within the Risk Management function, for CLP and Assistance. Link with Compliance:
- Secure AXA Partners implementation on Conduct and POG, by actively participating in cross-functional initiatives, e.g., the project on Value for Customers with Deloitte.
- Support on Distribution Monitoring, Customer Journey reviews, and any other Distribution/IDD related topics.

- AXA Partners Heads of Regions, Head of Countries.
- AXA Partners business units - central and local.
Your Profile
Experience / Profile:
- Minimum of 10 years working within a Compliance, Audit, or Risk team or a regulated insurance company or group.
- Experience with global Solvency 2 regulation.
- Experience of working with board members.
- Strong understanding of Insurance products and distribution models.
- Understanding and experience of insurance regulatory framework.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak effectively (both written and verbal) in English.
- Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Commercial acumen, gravitas, and ability to influence with persuasive skills and a high level of personal integrity.
- Critical thinking and good analytical skills.
- Team player, able to work collaboratively with and through others.
- Ability to manage by influence.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to lead projects/workstreams coordinating different functions/departments.
- Knowledge of AXA Group Internal Control and Operational risk functions is a plus.
