The role of the Product, Equity and Partnerships team is to attract new and additional capital and partners to the housing sector and create platforms that are a conduit for capital to deliver high quality homes in well-designed places. This team has the appetite and resources to shape the future of housing investment in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose.
This Head of position is part of the senior team in Product Equity and Partnerships working with the Assistant Director Fay Mitchelson. The holder will contribute to setting and evolving the Agency's strategy for deploying its equity allocations from a range of funding streams with differing objectives. They will work with the Assistant Director to lead on the origination, development and management of the team's transaction pipeline, taking new investment proposals through our stakeholder approval process, undertaking due diligence, negotiating and contracting on new equity investments (into funds or SPVs with our partners sharing in appropriate risks and rewards of activity).
A bit about youYou will be an experienced finance or real estate professional with the ambition to work creatively to improve the affordability and accessibility of housing of all tenures across England. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do.
You will have a degree level qualification and or equivalent relevant accreditation / experience such as a professional qualification in surveying, accountancy, law or similar. Your career to date will demonstrate an understanding of some or all of:
- Real estate development and investment.
- Financing and delivery of large scale residential and regeneration projects.
- The institutional investment landscape.
- Government housing policy and the housing market.
- Investment structures and financing tools utilised within the capital raising spectrum.
- Good corporate governance, risk identification, mitigation and management.
