Position Summary

The Senior Accounting and Reporting Manager is responsible for managing accounting and reporting professionals, optimizing financial statements preparation, conducting advanced financial analytics, and leading strategic planning with cross-functional collaboration. The role manages the internal financial control framework and pioneers process optimization initiatives. They direct the evolution of financial systems infrastructure and articulate financial narratives for key stakeholders.

What will your job entail?

  1. Oversees the preparation and submission of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  2. Manages financial analytics and scenario modeling to provide insights into the company's financial performance, while crafting recommendations to guide executive decision-making.
  3. Manages the internal control framework, leverages advanced risk assessment methodologies and control mechanisms.
  4. Leads the strategic planning process and ensures cross-functional collaboration to develop financial forecasts and budget plans.
  5. Leads the analysis of journal entries, ensures proper classification and recording of financial transactions, and ensures that all bank bookings, accruals, and revenue recognition are in check.
  6. Directs the evolution of financial systems infrastructure, leverages state-of-the-art technologies to ensure data integrity, enhances accuracy, and unleashes insights for strategic decision-making.
  7. Reviews month and quarter close activities, manages the general ledger and performs reconciliations of accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  8. Acts as the primary liaison for internal and external audit engagements, manages audit preparations, guides auditors through documentation, and implements audit recommendations to drive continuous improvement in control environment intricacy.
  9. Pioneers process optimization initiatives, champions automation solutions, and leverages technological solutions to drive efficiency gains and streamline accounting operations.

Work Experience and Education:

  1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance and Accounting in Insurance Industry with 3 years of management experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; Finance, Accounting and Business Administration preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.

Licenses & Certifications:

  1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
